Makes: about 1 dozen biscuits for 250g flour
Time to prepare: 20 minutes prep + 30 baking
Preheat oven to 400F
Ingredients
9oz flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3oz butter
6oz milk
Directions
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl
- Cut the butter into the flour until it is in pea-sized chunks
- Mix in the milk. Don’t over-work; the butter should still be in chunks.
- Flour the counter and a rolling pin. Turn out the dough and roll into a coarse sheet.
- Fold the sheet in thirds and put in the fridge to cool before handling again.
- Roll and fold once or twice more
Roll out a slab, about an inch thick. Cut into biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 400F
