Helen’s Bread

In a average Bowl
Add 1/2 cup hot water
Add 1 Tbsp of sugar mix well
Cool to lukewarm sprinkle with 1 pkt of dry east
Let sit 10 minutes.
Mix well,
In the meantime
Heat 1 cup of Milk
Add 2 teaspoon-salt
3 Tbl sugar
1/8 cup of shortening
Mix Well
1/2 cold water
Stir until lukewarm
Add yeast mixture stir well
Add  sufficient Flour (5 cups or more) until not sticky. Knead until smooth and elastic
About 8 minutes.
Let rise in a warm place free from drafts until double in volume (approx. 2hrs)
Punch down dough. Form loafs or buns let rise in warm place. Bake  (approximately 2 Loafs)
